Pathaan: A High-Octane Thriller Starring Shah Rukh Khan

Pathaan is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Siddharth Anand and written by Shridhar Raghavan and Abbas Tyrewala, from a story by Anand. The movie stars Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan, an exiled RAW agent who works with ISI agent Rubina Mohsin (played by Deepika Padukone) to take down Jim (played by John Abraham), a former RAW agent planning to spread a deadly lab-generated virus across India.



The film is the fourth installment in the YRF Spy Universe and was produced by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films. It was shot over various locations in India, Afghanistan, Spain, UAE, Turkey, Russia, Italy and France. The film features two songs composed by the duo Vishal–Shekhar, while Sanchit Balhara and Ankit Balhara provided the score.

The two songs featured in the movie are "Jhoome Jo Pathaan" and "Besharam Rang". "Jhoome Jo Pathaan" is sung by Arijit Singh, Sukriti Kakar, Vishal and Sheykhar and has music composed by Vishal and Sheykhar with lyrics written by Kumaar. "Besharam Rang" is sung by Shilpa Rao, Caralisa Monteiro, Vishal and Sheykhar with music composed by Vishal and Sheykhar and lyrics written by Kumaar. Both songs have been well received by audiences and have become popular hits.

Pathaan was released on January 25th, 2023 and received generally positive reviews from critics and audiences, who praised its action sequences, music and cast performances. The film has grossed ₹1,050 crore (US$130 million) worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film of 2023.

Shah Rukh Khan is one of the most popular actors in Bollywood and has starred in many successful movies throughout his career.
